Artist Statement

Doubting // Fearing // Hurting reveals and unravels the internal turmoils that are often remain hidden. Echoing the bold aesthetic of Barbara Kruger, Dilag confronts their struggles with mental health.

These installations, projected in public and private spaces, illuminate the conflicting emotions and intrusive thoughts experienced during moments of despair. These silent exclamations crying “Fuck I Feel Like Falling Apart” portray the pressure of a burden carried.

Doubting // Fear // Hurting serves as a raw and vulnerable visual representation of a struggle unseen and unheard, inviting a space for compassion, understanding, and an open dialogue of a universal experience.
