All Things Loving and Hurting is a collection that showcases the author reckoning with the proximity of memory for better or worse. Spinning tales of longing and regret, tenderness and abuse, it’s a road trip with many stops and more than one flat tire. 

These memories of high intensity emotion don’t disappear in the rearview mirror right away, preferring at times to stay with us in the backseat no matter how far we drive. The poems interweave into a full-fledged semi-autobiographical statement about the weight of a life disrupted. The author relives their past through these poems while continuing to navigate the effect they have on the present, showing us that everything is all part of a journey still in progress.
